I doubt I could have imagined it working out better, particularly when one considers what a rough start we had.

Last night, I blew up at A. because he invited two more people at the last minute. It appears my reaction was premature. We worked one of them into the plot in a rather delightful fashion as a second time-traveler (only from the year 2089). You know someone is stoned when their denials that they are stoned are accompanied by an unconsciously widening grin and an inability to meet your gaze. I had a great night this evening. A. joined me for a short jaunt to Ruby Tuesdays (for the half-sandwich and salad bar) followed by a not-so-short jaunt to Dairy Queen (where an obstinate ice cream machine resulted in my thirty minute wait for a hot fudge sundae, which still turned out to be practically liquid and a terrible mess). A. came over and we ate at the local Chinese buffet before catching a reasonably grim new episode of Farscape (very few sci fi shows reveal protagonists to be abusive husbands while still maintaining sympathy for all characters involved).
